History of AKTU University:-
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University was established on 8th May 2000 under the Uttar Technical University Act, 2000. This is a state university and this is a public university that is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The History of AKTU can be understood as the establishment of the former U.P. Technical University in Lucknow, which the Government of Uttar Pradesh created to promote technical education and research in the state.
UPTU came into existence through an Act passed by the State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh.
In 2010, UPTU made a significant step towards enhancing technical education by merging with Gautam Buddha Technical University (GBTU) and Mahamaya Technical University (MT). This merger led to an expansion of its curriculum and increased student opportunities.
