Today we are discussing about NEET UG Counselling 2024. All NEET Under Graduate (MBBS/BDS) candidates are hereby notified that Medical Counseling Committee/Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India will conduct counseling for the Undergraduate session 2023–24 for All India Quota seats, Institutional Quota, Domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/Banaras Hindu University/University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.

NTA has released date for counselling of NEET UG 2024 On August 14, 2024, the first round of registration for the NEET Counseling 2024 process will open. On July 29, 2024, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the counseling body, released the dates for NEET 2024 counseling on the MCC NEET UG counseling portal. NEET counseling is currently scheduled for four sessions till October 30, 2024. The length of the counseling procedure may vary depending on how many seats are available.

“It is hereby informed that the NEET UG Counselling for the Academic session 2024 is expected to commence tentatively from August 14th, 2024,” the MCC announced. However, the first week of August may see the start of the counseling registration procedure.

The mechanism used to assign medical seats is called NEET UG counseling. There are 1,09,170 seats available for MBBS and 27,868 places for BDS overall.

The central and state NEET counselling processes are carried out by 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing degrees at Central and Deemed Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and AFMC facilities. On the other side, the State Authorities perform medical admission for the 85 percent state quota seats to state medical colleges.

NEET UG Counselling 2024 Round

There are Four Rounds of counselling in 2024. they are follows:-

  • Round 1 14th August to 3th August
  • Round 2 4th September to 22th September
  • Round 3 25th September to 15th October (All India Quota/Deemed university)
  • Round 4 16th October to 30th October (Stray Vacancy Round)

Following the completion of the first four rounds of NEET UG 2024 counselling, there may be extra rounds of counselling to fill the remaining seats. The number of rounds may be increased based on the amount of available seats.

NEET UG 2024 Qualifing Cutoff

On July 26, 2024, the NTA announced the amended NEET 2024 cutoff and re-revised scorecards. In comparison to the NEET cutoff 2024, which was issued on June 4, 2024, and the original NEET 2024 results, the cutoff scores for each category have been reduced by two marks. The NEET 2024 Qualifying cutoff for each category has raised from last year. Due to the increased number of toppers, the NEET 2024 cutoff is higher than last year. As a result, the NEET cutoff for government MBBS colleges in 2024 will increase.
